Prime Advocates shortlisted for FT Innovative Lawyers Europe 2025 Awards

We’re proud to share that Prime Advocates, which founded and operates the Social Finance Hot Desk, has been shortlisted in the FT Innovative Lawyers Europe 2025 Awards

Our founder, Anthony Murphy, has been named a finalist in the Innovative Practitioner category, which recognises individuals driving forward bold, impactful approaches to legal practice. This award reflects Anthony's pioneering work through Prime Advocates and the Social Finance Hot Desk, innovating at the intersection of law, finance, and social impact to strengthen the infrastructure for social enterprise and optimise sustainable finance practices.

We’re delighted to be recognised for our success and impact as we approach our 10th anniversary of the programme. Under Anthony’s leadership, the Social Finance Hot Desk has worked to reduce legal complexity, build replicable funding models, and support ecosystem-wide collaboration. Our reimagining of pro bono has allowed us to remove structural barriers to impact by delivering skills-aligned support and expanding law firms' abilities to support a wider range of issues and organisations at the forefront of change.

This recognition speaks to the power of legal innovation to drive inclusive, systemic change, and we’re honoured to be included alongside this year’s outstanding shortlist of firms and individuals redefining the future of legal practice across Europe.

We’re proud our work has been recognised in this way - it’s reflective of our impact and the value of our work in creating a more sustainable future. We are honoured to be included amongst such illustrious company, and we remain committed to propagating impact through the financial marketplace
— Anthony Murphy, Founder & CEO
